Faithful Witness Seminar

  • Inklings Coffee & Tea 530 Main Street Pleasanton, CA, 94566 United States (map)

What does it look like to live out Christ’s call to make disciples in all areas of life? What can we learn from the global church about how to share the good news of Jesus in word and deed?

Join us for our upcoming Faithful Witness Seminar on February 10th at Inklings starting at 6:30 as we hear from VCC’s partner organization HOPE International on their integrated approach to faithful witness and what they’re learning as they serve the global church. Our speaker Phil Smith has been a corporate executive, an executive pastor, and a nonprofit leader.

Following over 20 years in the corporate world, his roles have included executive pastor of Walnut Hill Community Church in Bethel, CT, Rwanda country director and VP of marketing operations for church engagement with World Relief and senior director of savings group programs with HOPE International, where he oversaw collaboration with nearly 7,000 local churches around the world. He currently serves as HOPE’s senior development ambassador and has a passion for engaging with churches as they seek to understand and fulfill Jesus’ call to love and serve the most vulnerable.

Phil has lived and worked internationally in the U.K., Canada, and Rwanda, and has also served on many boards, including Urwego Opportunity Bank and As We Forgive - Rwanda Initiative. He is regularly an invited speaker at churches and organizations across the U.S. and internationally. Phil and his wife, Becca, have two sons, a daughter-in-law, and two beautiful grandchildren, and reside in Lancaster, PA.
